The main effort of this year will be to build the new observatory AMOS II now the previous project was completed successfully. We had the chance to rent an unused observation dome from the University of Graz. There we had the possibility to find out if our equipment really fulfilled our needs. One of the things we achieved is a universal dome control soft and hardware that links up with “TheSky” software and slews the dome according to the telescope position indicated there. (This dome control can be bough from us)
We are using a Celestron C14 telescope that is mounted on the newly developed Celestron CGE mount. This mount was especially developed with the astrophotographer in mind and lives up to its high standards.
One of our goals for the new observatory will be to make the whole observatory and equipment accessible via the Internet. This way we can use the observatory from anywhere in the world.
